• FOOTBALL: Verdigris rolls in district opener; Chelsea, Foyil break through (claremoreprogress.com) — Foyil's football team has turned its season around with back-to-back wins, powered by a 306-yard rushing performance and a 36-18 home victory over Welch. After being outscored heavily early, the Panthers have now put up 78 points in two games and will host Claremore Christian next, with district play starting Oct. 9 at Weleetka.
