Authorities say he’ll be extradited back to Oklahoma, moved to a higher-security facility, and likely face additional charges tied to his escape from the McAlester-area operation.
   

• Oklahoma County Killer to Seek Clemency (kcnonline.com) — An Oklahoma death-row inmate is seeking clemency ahead of his scheduled Nov. 12 execution at Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester, where lethal injections are carried out. The case centers on a 2001 Oklahoma County murder, with defense attorneys alleging wrongful conviction and prosecutorial misconduct, while state officials and the victim’s family insist the sentence should proceed.
   

• Patient accused of attacking nurse at Cushing hospital (1600kush.com) — A Cushing hospital patient is accused of violently attacking a nurse in the facility’s mental health unit, just months after he received probation for assaulting a medical provider in McAlester.
