• PC app tracks school buses (okcfriday.com) — Putnam City Schools, serving northwest Oklahoma City families, is rolling out a new My Ride K-12 app so parents can track their children's buses in real time starting this school year. The bond-funded tool offers live location, delay alerts, and check-in updates, with step‑by‑step setup help and local transportation staff ready to answer questions.
• ODOT continues work on Interstate 44 construction, what to know (oklahoman.com) — If you drive I-44, I-35, or I-240 in the Oklahoma City metro, expect ongoing lane shifts and ramp closures as ODOT rebuilds the I-44 bridge at Classen Circle and widens I-240. Key ramps near Classen and the I-35/I-240 interchange remain closed or under construction, with major work continuing into fall and final bridge completion targeted for spring 2027.
• Burned scrapyard near Scissortail Park to become apartments (oklahoman.com) — A long-blighted former scrapyard across from Scissortail Park in downtown Oklahoma City is being transformed into a major mixed-use project with 410 apartments and 26,000 square feet of retail. Developer Scott Holsey has assembled the full block between Robinson, Shields, and SW 10th–13th, aiming to add fast-casual dining and more activity for park visitors and event-goers.
