1. OKC utilities working to address discolored water in Draper Water Treatment Plant service area (kfor.com) — If your tap water in Oklahoma City looks brown or yellow, utilities officials say it's still safe to drink but ask you to hold off on washing light clothes. The discoloration is tied to the Draper Water Treatment Plant, and crews are adjusting treatment, flushing lines, and asking affected residents to call customer service so they can target problem spots.
2. Confidential student files sit in empty Proud To Partner Academy building (oklahoman.com) — Confidential student records from the now-closed Proud To Partner Leadership Academy are still locked inside a vacant building in southwest Oklahoma City, sparking a standoff between school leaders, the landlord, and the Statewide Charter School Board. Officials say electronic records are available to families, but unresolved responsibility for retrieving the paper files raises privacy concerns and mounting rental fees tied to the unused space.
3. 2 hospitalized after NW OKC pursuit ends in crash (news9.com) — A police pursuit in northwest Oklahoma City ended Tuesday morning with a serious crash that left two people trapped in their vehicle near Northwest 10th and Blackwelder. Firefighters extricated both occupants, who were taken into custody and transported to a local hospital; police have not yet released their names or the extent of their injuries.
4. Oklahoma Hall of Fame counts down to 100 years and talks"Road to 100" statewide events (okcfox.com) — The Oklahoma Hall of Fame is launching its "Road to 100" tour with a kickoff event in Oklahoma City on September 2, 2026, ahead of its centennial celebration. Invite-only stops across the state will feature storytelling and arts activities as organizers honor notable Oklahomans and build excitement for the Hall's 100th year.
