Special Career & Training Fair held for people facing barriers (kfor.com) — Metro Tech in Oklahoma City hosted a packed Equal Opportunity and Training Fair aimed at jobseekers facing barriers like transportation, disabilities, or justice-system involvement. With 50 employers, unions, and training programs on-site, organizers hoped on-the-spot interviews and signups would turn Wednesday's connections into long-term careers for local residents.
2. Oklahoma City's Asian District gets green light to revive building for 49-unit apartment complex (koco.com) — A 49-unit Lotus Apartments project in Oklahoma City's Asian District just cleared a key Urban Design Commission vote, paving the way for construction to start as soon as late September. The adaptive reuse plan will preserve an older building while adding apartments, a restaurant, dog park, and office space, aiming to better connect OCU, Uptown, and the Asian District by 2027.
3. OKC Metro businesses give back to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (news9.com) — Oklahoma City metro businesses are rallying around Dolly Parton's Imagination Library after her passing, using themed treats, merchandise, and tattoo specials to honor her legacy. Local partners say the program now serves over 100,000 Oklahoma children monthly and still needs sponsors, especially for Pawnee, Logan, and Noble counties, where small donations can fund a year of books.
4. Oklahoma Lottery Powerball, Lotto America results for Aug. 26, 2026 (oklahoman.com) — If you bought a lottery ticket in Oklahoma, here are the winning Powerball, Lotto America, Pick 3, and Cash 5 numbers drawn on August 26, along with how to claim prizes. Mail-in winners must send signed tickets and claim forms to the Oklahoma Lottery office in Oklahoma City, with optional banking details for direct deposit.
