Penn Square Mall adds Athleta, The North Face, Barnes & Noble and new restaurant (koco.com) β€” Shoppers in Oklahoma City's Penn Square Mall can look forward to new options as Athleta and The North Face prepare to open inside the center and Barnes & Noble plans a large two-level store by spring 2027. Outside, North Italia will debut its first Oklahoma restaurant with an outdoor entrance on December 16, bringing handmade pasta, pizza, and a full dining experience to the mall area.

Downtown Oklahoma City charter school adds high school with $5 million building purchase (koco.com) β€” Families in Oklahoma City now have a new K–12 option as John Rex Charter School expands to add a high school, starting with ninth grade next year in a newly purchased downtown building. The STEM- and entrepreneurship-focused program will grow one grade at a time, with applications for Oklahoma City Public Schools students opening Nov. 11 and remaining seats filled by lottery.

Police arrest two men in gang-related killing in Oklahoma City (koco.com) β€” Police in Oklahoma City have arrested two men in connection with an August gang-related shooting that killed a 21-year-old man at an apartment complex near Northeast 11th Street and Walnut Avenue. Investigators say a phone left at the scene and surveillance video helped identify the suspects, who are jailed on $1 million bonds and face first-degree murder and gang-related charges.

Police searching for suspect following stabbing outside a food truck in NW OKC (kfor.com) β€” Oklahoma City police are investigating a stabbing that happened just after midnight near a food truck on NW 10th Street west of I-235 and are still searching for the suspect. Officers say an argument escalated when someone tried to break it up, and they're asking anyone who saw what happened or recognizes the maroon Dodge pickup involved to contact authorities.
