“This was a challenging fundraising year with the pandemic, but our employees stepped up and gave generously to help fill unmet needs in our growing community,” said Assistant City Manager and executive sponsor Laura Johnson. “Our employees care deeply about giving back to the community where they live and work.”
Employees raised the money through pledges and cash contribution as well as silent auctions, bake sales, raffles, rallies and other fundraisers that were held last fall.
“We are fortunate to live in a community that has engaged and caring City employees,” said United Way executive director Debby Hampton. “The City has one of the most successful fundraising campaigns in the state and we are proud to be a part of it.”
