Oklahoma City Offers Free Landfill Day For OKC Trash Customers Saturday September 12

Commercial waste haulers are not allowed.

Oklahoma City trash, recycling and bulky customers who need to get rid of extra junk or landscape debris can take advantage of the City’s Free Landfill Day on Saturday, Sept. 12.

From 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 12, customers can drop off one load of household waste using a passenger vehicle or truck (up to 1-ton) and one trailer (up to 16 feet long) at these landfills:

Customers must present an original, current Oklahoma City trash bill (no photocopies accepted), or a copy of an e-bill as proof of residency. Commercial waste haulers are not allowed.

The City’s regular bulky waste rules apply to Free Landfill Day. Landfills will not accept household hazardous waste, tires, oils and toxins, car batteries, propane tanks, pool chemicals, electronic waste, and any appliances containing Freon or other refrigerants.

Go to okc.gov/hhw for information on the Household Hazardous Waste Facility, including a list of items OKC customers can dispose of there at no extra cost.
