Dr. Jason F. Kirksey, vice president for institutional diversity and the chief diversity
officer at Oklahoma State University, will be honored Thursday at the 2021 Diversity
and Inclusion Conference hosted by Diversity and HR Solutions.
Kirksey is set to receive the Inclusive Excellence Leadership Award during a virtual
luncheon ceremony.

OSU President Kayse Shrum said Kirksey’s most recent recognition is just another example
of his impactful leadership on campus.
“Dr. Kirksey has greatly advanced Oklahoma State’s efforts to promote diversity and
inclusion on campus and our campus community is all the better for it,” she said.
“We congratulate him on his latest award and for all the hard work and dedication
he exhibits every day in such a vital role.”
The annual conference is a premiere event focused on diversity, inclusion and talent
management which affords individuals, HR professionals and organizations the opportunity
to research necessary tools to build diverse workforces.
The Inclusive Excellence Leadership Award is given to someone who has four qualities
defined by the conference’s criteria.
Kirksey said he is humbled to receive the national award.
“The opportunity to serve on an incredible team within the Division of Institutional
Diversity and work with exceptional colleagues across OSU and around the nation is
certainly an honor,” Kirksey said. “It is humbling to again be recognized with a national
award for engaging in meaningful and transformative diversity and inclusion work.
“I am proud to be able to play a role in the university’s unwavering commitment to
sustaining and enriching our culture of inclusion.”
