Oklahoma State University: Ranji Vaidyanathan Inducted Into The SAMPE Fellow Program

Vaidyanathan will be presented with an award at the SAMPE Awards Ceremony to be held on Monday, Oct. 18, in Dallas.

Dr. Ranji Vaidyanathan, Regents Professor of materials science and engineering in
the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology has been inducted into the
Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE).

SAMPE is a global professional member society that provides enhanced educational opportunities,
by delivering information on new and advanced materials as well as processing technology,
providing a unique and valuable forum for scientists, engineers and academicians.

Vaidyanathan was unanimously selected by the Global Fellow Committee, the Past Presidents,
and the Global Board of Directors for his induction.

This is the second Fellow nomination Vaidyanathan has received this year. He also
received Fellow for the National Academy of Inventors (NAI). NAI is a member organization
comprising of U.S. and international universities, and governmental and non-profit
research institutes, with over 4,000 individual inventor members and Fellows spanning
more than 250 institutions worldwide.

"I am humbled and deeply honored,” Vaidyanathan said. “For this honor, I would like
to thank my colleagues and peers, my students and the start-up companies that they
have started and persevered with, as well as the small and medium companies that work
with me. I am especially thankful for the wonderful support and motivation that I
have gotten from my department and CEAT.”
