• Lynn Roy Marak (thepampanews.com) — Family and friends in Owasso are among those mourning Texas native Lynn Roy Marak, whose granddaughter Taylor Simmons and her husband live in Owasso with their two children. The 77-year-old retired heavy equipment operator was remembered as a devoted husband, hardworking provider, and skilled craftsman who loved helping others and took pride in his home and family.
• Downtown Deco Challenge launches $27,126,211 drive (tulsaworld.com) — Tulsa Area United Way just kicked off a record $27.1 million Downtown Deco Challenge campaign, supporting services across eastern Oklahoma that Owasso residents may rely on, like 211 Eastern Oklahoma. The drive also adds nine new nonprofit partners in Rogers, Mayes, and Delaware counties, expanding regional help with housing, utilities, food, and family services. Local donors and volunteers are encouraged to get involved.
