- A woman was hit in the head with a hammer during an attempted car theft on Tuesday. Tulsa police report the woman and another suspect were breaking into a van near the Broken Arrow Expressway and Denver Avenue when they were discovered by the vehicle's owner. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital and her accomplice was arrested. The van owner is not facing any charges at this time. (KRMG)
- A woman whose body was found on Interstate 44 late last month has been identified as 48-year-old Jessica Quickle. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Quickle was initially discovered lying in the roadway after being struck by multiple vehicles. She was pronounced dead at the scene after officials were alerted to the incident by a report from a passerby. (Tulsa World)
- A teenager from Broken Arrow was awarded first place in the USA Mullet Championships. 16-year-old winner Tyler Billingsley took home one thousand dollars for claiming the top prize in the competition's Teen Division. The teen plans to enter the competition again next year to seek back-to-back championships. (News On 6)
