A-26 Invader Lady Liberty Begins New Mission at Tulsa Air and Space Museum (vintageaviationnews.com) — A historic WWII-era A-26 Invader nicknamed Lady Liberty has arrived at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum, where it will become a permanent educational exhibit instead of returning to flight. After damage in a 2025 accident made restoration impractical, the aircraft was moved to Tulsa, keeping this significant piece of military aviation history in Oklahoma and accessible to local visitors.

Sand Springs apprentice officer arrested in Tulsa kidnapping investigation (newson6.com) — Tulsa police say a monthlong investigation into an alleged July 30 kidnapping and sexual assault led to the firing and arrest of a Sand Springs apprentice officer, now jailed in Tulsa County. Investigators report using license plate cameras, a photo lineup, and cell data to connect him to the incident, while Sand Springs police stress this was an isolated case and reaffirm their commitment to public trust.
   

4. New Tulsa Zoo area opens ahead of African Wilds Grand Opening (newson6.com) — Tulsa families can now explore a newly opened pathway at the Tulsa Zoo that leads to rhinos, giraffes, and upgraded amenities like restrooms, concessions, and Meerkat Market. The full African Wilds complex and a new giraffe encounter are still coming, with the completed meerkat exhibit temporarily housing African birds until federal permits allow meerkats to arrive in 2027.

A packed H.A. Chapman Stadium in Tulsa watched big plays, strong defense, and coach Tre Lamb improve to 2–0 against the Cowboys, all captured in an extensive game-day photo gallery.
