Here are the top 3 stories in Tulsa today:
- Tulsa police recovered a vehicle from the Arkansas River on Tuesday. The Mercedes-Benz was recovered near the River West Festival Park and is believed to have been in the water for "quite some time." Police say they did not find any human remains in the car, but they do not know if the car was stolen. (News On 6)
- The Oklahoma Alliance for Animals is urging pet owners to bring their animals inside or take other steps to protect their animals in preparation for a chilly forecast this weekend. Temperatures in the Tulsa area are expected to drop into the teens with single-digit wind chills, which can be life-threatening for pets. The OAA is also offering free straw bedding to help keep pets safe. (kjrh.com)
- The Noon Year's Eve Balloon Drop that was scheduled for Friday at the Sand Springs Cultural and Historical Museum has been canceled. The city made the cancelation announcement on Tuesday afternoon, citing "unforeseen circumstances." Other holiday events, including the Art of Giving Christmas Tree Display, will continue as scheduled. (Tulsa World)
