In mid-December, weather permitting, work will move to the second block – Reconciliation Way between Detroit Avenue and MLK Jr. Boulevard. For this block, the street will be half open and half closed through the end of December with traffic maintained for one-way.
This project also includes mill and overlay on MLK Jr. Boulevard one block north and south of Reconciliation Way, and reconstruction of MLK Boulevard just north of Cameron Street. Other elements of the project are conversion of Detroit Avenue to two-way traffic between Archer and Cameron streets, and replacement of four traffic signals at the intersections of MLK Boulevard with Archer Street and Reconciliation Way, and the intersections of Detroit Avenue with Archer Street and Reconciliation Way.
