Here are the top stories in Tulsa today:
- The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a set of human remains discovered in a wooded area on Sunday morning. Officers set up a perimeter near East 56th Street North and North Lewis Avenue after a group of hunters found the remains in the tree line and called police to the scene. Detectives reported signs of trauma to the body and are considering the possibility that the remains belong to one of three missing people who disappeared from Turley last week. (kjrh.com)
- The Tulsa Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a burglary suspect who was captured on a security camera over the summer. In July, the person in the photos burglarized a meat market near 71st and Lewis. Officers are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to call Crimestoppers. (News On 6)
- For the first time since before the pandemic, runners were able to participate in the 44th annual Tulsa Credit Union Race this weekend. This year's event raised an impressive $25,000 for charities and schools. (News On 6)
- The long-gone Midland Valley Railroad is still leaving its mark on Tulsa as rebuilding begins on the old Midland Valley pedestrian bridge. (Tulsa World)
- Tulsa Area United Way (TAUW) has launched an online portal to help local residents find holiday volunteer opportunities throughout the season of giving. The portal lists over 20 different winter holiday volunteer positions from TAUW's 59 partner agencies. (KTUL)
