Here are the top stories in Tulsa today:
- Two of the largest labor unions in Tulsa, representing thousands of people who work in the local aviation and aerospace industry, are inviting the public to protest vaccine mandates.
The United Aerospace Workers Local 952 and the Transport Workers Union Local 514 represent employees at Spirit Aerosystems (UAW) and American Airlines (TWU). The companies said their hands were tied by the new executive order that cuts off federal funds in December to organizations viewed as government contractors if they do not vaccinate their employees. (KRMG) - A women's business center is coming to Black Wall Street. It will be operated by the U.S. Black Chamber of Commerce with the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce to invest in women business owners. The goal of the women's business center is to help increase opportunities for African American and minority women. (News On 6)
- The Muscogee Nation Department of Health will offer drive-thru COVID-19 and flu vaccinations today at the River Spirit Casino. (KOKI FOX 23)
- A man in is critical condition after a fight at Tulsa's Linde Oktoberfest shuttle stop. (kjrh.com)
- The Community Service Council says it needs the public's help in compiling a list of resources to make the transition easier for the Afghan families arriving in eastern Oklahoma this month. (News On 6)
