Here are the top stories in Tulsa today:

  1. A man was found dead in a car near 56th Street North and Lewis on Monday morning with "obvious signs of trauma" to the body. The victim, known as J.J., was parked in front of the home of a coworker, whom he had been trying to communicate with via calls and texts the previous night. Police say they don't have any reason to believe the coworker was involved, but are investigating J.J.'s death as a homicide. (News On 6)
  2. An inmate at the Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center was reported missing from the facility on Saturday afternoon after a dummy under a blanket was discovered in his cell. Rodney Williams, a 38-year-old known gang member, was serving a 15-year sentence for drug trafficking out of Tulsa County. Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) officials searched the building and property for Williams around 3 p.m. Saturday and are reviewing footage. (News On 6)
  3. The arrival of Afghan refugees in Tulsa is currently on hold due to an outbreak of measles cases. (Public Radio Tulsa)
  4. The tiny Tulsa home that served as the central location in the 1983 film "The Outsiders" has been turned into a museum that is attracting famous visitors like Leonardo DiCaprio and Green Day. (Free: Associated Press; Subscription: Journal Record)
  5. Traffic backups are expected in downtown Tulsa with two major construction projects happening back-to-back on the Inner Dispersal Loop. (news9.com KWTV)
