- Tulsa medical professionals are seeing a rise in mental health challenges amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Doctors at Saint Francis say they're seeing a large increase in anxiety, depression and delirium. Psychiatrists said the COVID-19 pandemic is not only impacting the mental health of patients who have the virus, but also the general public, especially teens and young adults. In some COVID-19 patients, doctors are also seeing people that are confused and suffering from hallucinations. Doctors also say they're seeing more people who have had substance abuse problems in the past relapse during the pandemic. (News On 6)
- Some Tulsa OB-GYNs are urging patients to get the COVID-19 vaccine. One OB-GYN said the best time to get the vaccine is when a woman learns she is pregnant and that she should not wait until after her baby is born. One doctor said the majority of her patients who end up with severe symptoms have not been vaccinated. She understands expectant mothers being hesitant, but she believes it could prevent pregnancy complications associated with the virus.(News On 6)
- The Tulsa Health Department is providing guidance in replacing missing COVID-19 vaccine cards for those who received vaccine doses that were entered into the Oklahoma State Immunization Information System. (KTUL)
- A crash in Tulsa sent three people to the hospital after the driver reportedly reached speeds of 100 miles per hour before crashing into a truck. (KOKI FOX 23)
- As of this month, Oklahoma's COVID death toll has surpassed 9,500.(KTUL)
