  1. Tulsa University invited thousands of middle and high school students and their teachers to campus on Monday for the 2021 Native American STEM Competition and Teacher Conference.
    Students from across Northeast Oklahoma, most of whom are Native American, learned about science, technology, engineering, and math through a series of activities and challenges. About 250 teachers were also on-campus learning about STEM activities they can bring back to the classroom. (News On 6)
  2. Tulsa gave a World War II veteran a special surprise during his travels through Jones Airport this weekend. Bill Parker, a 98-year-old veteran who is believed to be the first boots on Omaha Beach on D-Day, got to ride a T-6 Texan, a WWII-era plane that was used to train pilots during the war. Parker was recently the Parade Marshal for the Claremore Veterans Day Parade and will soon receive a Medal of Honor in Belgium for his service. (news9.com KWTV)
  3. Yesterday, local organization John 3:16 Mission prepared meal boxes for more than 5,000 Tulsa families in need as part of its 20th annual Thanksgiving food distribution event. (kjrh.com)
  4. The fourth annual Garden of Lights kicks off this Friday, Nov. 26, at Tulsa Botanic Garden and will run throughout the holiday season.
