Water Distribution personnel are scheduled to repair a fire hydrant on Feb. 3 and replace a fire hydrant on Feb. 4. The work will affect traffic in these areas:

A fire hydrant at 11800 E. 41st St. is scheduled for repair on Wednesday, Feb. 3, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. During this work, westbound traffic on East 41st Street will be shifted into the center turn lane at South 118th East Avenue. Also, 118th East Avenue will be closed at 41st Street; a detour will be marked for traffic between 118th East Avenue and 122nd East Avenue.
A fire hydrant at 3101 S. Jamestown Ave. is scheduled for replacement on Thursday, Feb. 4, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. During this work, the eastbound right lane on East 31st Street will be closed at South Jamestown Avenue.

The Tulsa Fire Department inspects fire hydrants on an annual basis to ensure they’re operational and ready to serve our community in case of fire. If hydrants are operationally deficient, they receive the highest maintenance priority and the Water and Sewer Department quickly repairs or replaces them.
