- The Creek County Adjustment Board unanimously approved the development of a new Tulsa Girls' Home in Sapulpa during a meeting Tuesday evening. The vote came in spite of objections from some people living in the neighborhood who expressed fears about a possible increase in crime from the foster girls who move in. Of the nearly 100 community members who attended the meeting, most were in favor of the development. Now that the plan has been approved, the new Tulsa Girls' Home hopes to open by February 2022. - A man has been injured after an argument led to a shooting at an apartment complex near 61st Street and Peoria Avenue. Witnesses report that the victim and another man were arguing late Tuesday evening when one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other in the leg. The shooter then fled from the scene, according to police. (News On 6)
- The Pencil Box, an organization dedicated to supplying students and teachers with tools for success, broke ground on a new facility in Green County. The new facility will be located near 25th Street and Southwest Boulevard and is estimated to cost nearly $2 million. The Pencil Box has provided free school supplies to teachers and students in Tulsa County since 2015. (KTUL)
