Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5 to 11
We are following the progress on the COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5-11 closely and looking forward to supporting elementary families with vaccination clinics as soon as we can. We are excited to see that this afternoon the FDA granted emergency authorization of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for 5-11 year old children. Based on news reports this week, the CDC is expected to take action on this recommendation within the next week. Our team is already working with our local health partners to plan for vaccination opportunities for our elementary students. We will finalize those clinics and share information with our team and families as soon as the vaccine is recommended by the CDC and our local health officials for 5-11 year old children.Β
