Tulsa Public Schools: Students Continue To Receive Meals Free Of Charge In 2021-2022

Following the United States Department of Agricultureβs extension of several waivers related to student meals, Tulsa Public Schools students will continue to receive meals free of charge in 2021-2022 school year. Every student can receive any of the meals offered in their schoolβs cafeteria even if they do not have a meal application.

βWe are pleased that the USDA made the decision to extend the meal waivers through the end of the school year so that all students can continue to eat free of charge,β said Chief Finance and Operations Officer Jorge Robles. βWe look forward to serving your child healthy and nutritious meals to energize them for a year of learning!β
As the district begins the new school year, Tulsa Public Schools is reminding families to complete their 2021-2022 Back to School Information Form. Families can visit enroll.tulsaschools.org to log into SmartChoice and complete their form.

Robles said: βBy completing this form, families can help our schools have access to Title I and state funding dollars that help teachers and school leaders service and support all children and families. Families may also be eligible to receive reduced or waived college application fees and free registration for the SAT or ACT.β
