Tulsa Public Schools: Students To Receive Several Days Of Grab-And-Go Meals For Fall Break

On Monday, October 11 and Tuesday, October 12, Tulsa Public Schools will serve all Tulsa children ages 18 and under several days’ worth of snacks and dinner meals free of charge to provide meals for the days that classes are not in session for fall break. The district willΒ notΒ serve grab-and-go meals starting Wednesday, October 13 to Friday, October 15.Β Families can pick up one snack and one dinner meal on Monday October 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and six days’ worth of snacks and dinner meals on Tuesday, October 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.Β Families who bring their child to meal pick-up will not need to show identification.

While parents who bring their child to the meal-sites and stops will not have to provide ID, parents and families can pick up meals without having their student present with one of the following forms of student identification:

  • Student ID;
  • School report card;
  • Child's passport;
  • Child's birth certificate;
  • Government-issued child identification card;
  • Any document providing parent/guardian identity and relationship to the child, such as an adoption decree; doctor, clinic, or hospital record; religious record; or a daycare center record; or
  • Any text message sent to all parents/guardians from the district’s short-code (67587).

District staff will continue to follow COVID-19 health and safety guidelines for health screenings, personal protective equipment, and safe distancing.
