1. The Tulsa Recycle Transfer facility is scheduled to open in late December 2021 with a state-of-the-art sorting system. The new system will include several robots that will work alongside humans to speed up the sorting process. Paired with a wider conveyor belt and enhanced optical scanners, the company will be able to process a larger volume of materials at one time.(Public Radio Tulsa)
2. A Death Row inmate's appeal was rejected for the 1999 murder of retired Tulsa banker Mary Bowles. The inmate claimed that his Native American ancestry, coupled with where the crime occurred, meant that based on the U.S. Supreme Court's 2020 McGirt ruling, the state court did not have jurisdiction when it tried him. The appellate court rejected his appeal on Thursday. (Tulsa World)
3. A Tulsa man, 20, was sentenced to 10-years in federal prison for killing a 16-year-old boy last February. (Tulsa World)
