Witnesses told police the driver of the truck, an adult male, initially stopped, got out, and began running toward what was later identified as a 5-feet by 2-feet red and black bandsaw; but when cars started hitting it, the man turned around, got back in his truck and drove off.
The bandsaw reportedly damaged 10 vehicles in all, with one rolling several times into a ditch. The driver of that vehicle was taken to hospital with injuries, police said, noting no other drivers were hurt.
