2 Houston Men Arrested In Klamath With $400K, Meth, And LSD

Andrew Garrigan, 28, and Jacob Runion, 27, were arrested early Dec. 4 by state troopers, who later found cash and drugs hidden in their car.

KLAMATH FALLS, OR — Two men from Houston, Texas, were arrested in Klamath Falls this week when an Oregon State Police trooper discovered they were transporting various drugs and more than $400,000 in cash in their Cadillac.

Andrew Michael Garrigan, 28, and Jacob Randall Runion, 27, were taken to the Klamath County Jail and charged with money laundering, engaging in a financial transaction of property derived from unlawful activity, possession and delivery of methamphetamines, and possession of LSD.

According to Oregon State Police, Garrigan was driving the Cadillac on the Southside Expressway (Highway 140), near Memorial Drive in Klamath Falls, when a state trooper pulled him over for failing to drive in his lane around 3:45 a.m. Dec. 4.

A probable cause statement written by the trooper said the men showed "signs of criminal activity;" and when asked, they subsequently provided written permission tor the trooper to search the vehicle.

During the search, the trooper reportedly found two manufactured compartments not originally built into the car. Inside the compartments, the trooper found meth, pills, and LSD, as well as $444,030 in cash, police said.

Since their arrests, both men have posted bail and are currently scheduled to appear before a Klamath County court Dec. 12.
