• Rabid bat found last week in Albany area (sweethomenews.com) — Health officials confirm a bat found in the Albany area on Sept. 22 tested positive for rabies, and they're urging residents to avoid all contact with bats. Locals are advised to keep pets vaccinated, call Linn County Health Services if they may have touched a bat, and seek immediate medical advice after any possible bite or scratch.
