Artists Asked To Help Beautify Beaverton
Each selected work of art could earn the artist $200. The deadline for submissions is June 12.

BEAVERTON, OR — City officials in Beaverton want to beautify otherwise mundane infrastructure, so they're inviting the community to submit proposals for the 2017 Beautify Beaverton project.
Using high-quality, adhesive vinyl material, city officials hope to transform utility and traffic signal boxes around the city into works of art. Selected images will be displayed for at least one year, officials said in a statement, adding that students and emerging artists are encouraged to apply.
Applications are due by 11 p.m. June 12 (click here to apply), and each artist can submit up to five images for consideration. More than one image could be selected, officials said, and each selected image will earn the artist a $200 stipend.
