Beaverton Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Drunk Driver, Say Police

Portland Police says this is the 22nd fatal crash of the year.

A 61-year-old man is under arrest, charged with DUII and manslaughter, after fatally striking a bicyclist Monday afternoon in Southwest Portland.

Potland Police say that Willard Tow and the bicyclist were both headed east on Southwest Multnomah when Tow struck bicycle at a high rate of speed.

The bicyclist, who has since been identified as Andrzej Kurkowsi, died at the scene.
