Beaverton Education Foundation Awarded $12,000 For Camp Achieve

For kids looking to take the break out of summer break, the Beaverton Education Foundation will now be able to help them out.

The foundation was awarded a $12,000 grant by Regence BlueCross BlueShield to fund Camp Achieve programs at multiple schools.

Camp Achieve is meant to help students stay on track academically, build positive relationships and remain connected to learning during the summer. It is open to all students of participating schools and will serve more than 700 students at seven schools.

The program balances actual camp-like activities with academics like reading, writing, math and science. It is meant to prevent any loss of learning for kids during their summer break.
