Beaverton family gets Red Cross help after fire

A family in Beaverton is getting help after a fire forced them from their home.

The fire, in the 2000 block of Ecole Avenue in Beaverton, sent four adults and two children from their home.

No one was injured.

The Cascades Region branch of the American Red Cross says they provided temporary housing as well as comfort kits, stuff for their basic needs and information about recovery services.

The Red Cross has a guide for families to help them know what to do before, during and after a fire, including information about how to develop an evacuation plan,
