Beaverton Groundbreaking for New Affordable Housing Complex

Bridge Meadows will serve three generations under one roof.

A big step was taken Wednesday toward the creation of a multi-generational housing complex in Beaverton with the groundbreaking for Bridge Meadows. When it opens, it will serve three generations under one roof.

The complex, which is being built in the city's Central Beaverton neighborhood across from Beaverton Christian Church, will have nine family homes plus 32 apartments for elders.

There will also be a community center.

"Bringing more affordable housing, particularly for seniors, is a top priority for the city, and the Bridge Meadows model of serving families who are in the process of adopting foster youth makes it all the better,” Beaverton Mayor Denny Doyle said earlier this summer.
