Beaverton To Host Rose Festival Half Marathon This Weekend

The city reminds residents and commuters to prepare for several temporary road closures along the marathon route Sunday, May 28.

BEAVERTON, OR — The 6th Annual Rose Festival Half Marathon will wind through Beaverton for the first time this weekend, and city officials want to ensure residents are prepared for any potential impacts to traffic.

Beginning at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, May 28, runners, joggers, and walkers will head out from Southridge High School, 9625 S.W. 125th Ave., and traverse the city in a winding loop through five neighborhoods back to Southridge, where the marathon will also conclude around 12 p.m.

According to officials, specific roads along the route will experience temporary closures as marathoners pass through. Those closures are listed as follows:

  • Southridge HS, 6 a.m. to 7:40 a.m.
  • Greenway/Trail, 7:35 a.m. to 7:47 a.m.
  • Nimbus/Stratus, 7:40 a.m. to 8:04 a.m.
  • Nimbus/Gemini, 7:45 a.m. to 8:21 a.m.
  • Hall/Ridgecrest, 7:50 a.m. to 8:38 a.m.
