Beaverton Man Arrested After Crash That Injured Passenger

Randy Lopez-Perez is charged with assault and reckless driving, among other things.

A Beaverton man is under arrest, charged with reckless driving, driving under the influence, and assault after a crash Saturday night.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says that Randy Lopez-Perez was behind the wheel when he lost control of his car along the 34000 block of Southwest Riedwed Road.

His 1992 Toyota Camry ended up at the bottom of a ravine where deputies found the injured passenger.

The sheriff's office says that Lopez-Perez and another passenger had left the scene to get help.

Deputies determined that Lopez-Perez had been speeding and failed to negotiate a turn.
