Happy Thursday, neighbors!

Please know this was unfortunately beyond our control, but know that we are fully back in business! Now, on to the news!

  3. It's shopping season, and locals are weighing in on 'buy now, pay later' options. One Beaverton resident says paying her bills on time prevents her from costly finance charges sometimes associated with these programs. An Aloha man remarks that financing deals could "lead to some irresponsible spending." Find out what the experts say at KPTV.com.
  4. The feds gave Portland police $400,000 to investigate the "Dark Web" and COVID-19 fraudsters, and they're planning on paying Washington County law enforcement agencies to help them out. The Willamette Week explains that the project will target preventing counterfeit goods from entering local markets and help stop intellectual property crimes. $150,000 in consulting fees is slated to go to the Beaverton Police Department, the Washington County Sheriff's Office and other agencies designated as consultants.
  5. Learn about Friends of the Refuge's efforts to protect the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge over at Pamplin Media Group. The beautiful spot just north of Sherwood is open to the public for hiking, education and more.
