Beaverton Mayor Picked as New Head of League of Oregon Cities

Denny Doyle's term begins on January 1, 2017.

Beaverton Mayor Denny Doyle has been selected as the new president of the League of Oregon Cities. His term begins January 1, 2017.

"I'm looking forward to serving as the League of Oregon Cities president throughout this next year," said Doyle. "I strongly believe that the League is a great resource for our cities, a great partner and I will work hard to ensure that the League has a successful year."

Doyle, who has been the league's vice-president, has been Beaverton's mayor since January, 2009. Before that he spent 14 years on the city's city council.
