Beaverton to Offer 'How To' Workshop for Solving Neighborhood Disputes
The free April 27 workshop will provide quarreling neighbors the tools to respectfully and patiently handle disputes.

BEAVERTON, OR – Have a problem with your neighbor but don’t know how best to handle it? The Beaverton Dispute Resolution Center is hosting a workshop next week that might help.
"Neighbor to Neighbor: A Community Problem-Solving Workshop" will be held Thursday, April 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Beaverton Activities Center, 12500 S.W. Allen Blvd. The free workshop will provide Beaverton residents an opportunity to learn new ways to communicate that could better resolve conflicts among neighbors and ultimately build better relationships within individual communities.
Providing mediator-type assistance since 1988, the Dispute Resolution Center assists business owners and consumers, landlords and tenants, and homeowners and homeowner associations in Beaverton and Eastern Washington County (east of 185th Avenue).

According to its website, the center sees eight out of 10 disputes reach amicable agreements.
Free refreshments and childcare will be provided at the event. Interpreters will also be available on request. To register, email edeppa@beavertonoregon.gov.
