Beaverton Officers Made 26 DWII Arrests in October: Police
So far this year, police have taken 336 impaired drivers off Beaverton roads, police said.

BEAVERTON, OR — During the month of October, Beaverton Police were out on focused patrols for impaired drivers and arrested 26 people for DUII, police said. They plan to do the same thing during the month of November, as a part of their yearlong National Traffic Safety Campaign.
Officers are making great strides to decrease the amount of drunk drivers on the road. So far in 2016, Beaverton Police have taken 336 impaired drivers off Beaverton roads, police said. Out of these arrests, 49 people refused a breath test and a warrant for a blood draw was granted.
High Visibility Enforcement (HVE) is a traffic safety technique used to create deterrence and change unlawful traffic behaviors. Officers are highly visibly on the roads and work diligently to target a specific traffic safety issue. In this case, these HVE details are paid for by grant funds, police said.
