Beaverton Police Arrest Teen, Older Man for Burglaries
Police linked them to burglaries in Beaverton and Gresham.

An 18-year-old woman from Gresham and a 39-year-old homeless man are under arrest, charged with a series of burglaries in Beaverton and Gresham. Beaverton Police arrested Brooke Rachelle Bearman and Paul Warren Roys.
Both are charged with burglary and identity theft.
Beaverton Police had responded Wednesday morning to an apartment on Southwest Valeria View Drive where a man reported that someone had entered through an unlocked sliding door and stolen his briefcase and wallet while he slept.

The man told officers that one of his credit cards had been used at the Walmart in Wood Village.
The officer contacted Walmart and confirmed that two suspects had used the card and were still there. With the help of deputies from the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, the two were detained and then turned over to Beaverton Police.

Officers determined that Bearman and Roys had committed other burglaries in Beaverton and Gresham by targeting retirement communities, late at night or early in the morning looking for residences with unlocked doors to gain entry.
Many of these crimes were committed while the victims were asleep in their residence.
