He looks pretty good for 35. K9 Ike - as he is known - is an officer with the Beaverton Police Department. On Sunday, they celebrated his 5th birthday - roughly 35 in dog years.
Ike and his partner, Office Brain Gaunt, graduated from their certification training in December 2013 and have been on the force together ever since.
This past June, Ike placed third in the fastest dog competition at the statewide K9 trials.
