Had been called to a report of donkeys in the street.

The call was to respond to a report of donkeys on the loose.

Officer Matt Matias of the Beaverton Police Department works the night shift so the call was not out of the ordinary.

When he got to the area of Southwest 160th Avenue and Village Lane, it wasn't donkeys he found.

Officers Matias corralled the horses. Their owner was found.

According to the Beaverton Police Department, the only bad thing about the owner being located was it derailed his plans to use the miniature horses to start a mounted patrol unit.

The horses are home and doing fine.
