Beaverton School Board Puts Off Boundary Decision
The school board asks staff to do some more work.

The Beaverton School Board has delayed adopting a change in the boundaries for the district's high schools.
At their meeting this week, they informed outgoing Superintendent Jeff Rose that while they felt most of the criteria had been met, they had concerns about two issues - proximity to school and transportation.
Board members want staff to take a deeper look at how students would get to schools further away from where they now go and examine whether more changes are needed.

The delay may mean that Rose - who is slated to shortly takeover a school district outside of Atlanta - may not be hear for the end of the process.
The school board is expected to name an interim superintendent at a special meeting on Thursday.
