Beaverton Schools Get Interim Superintendent

Beaverton Schools has hired an interim superintendent to guide the district while they search for a permanent successor to Jeff Rose.

Paula Radich, led the Newberg School District from 1999-2012.

She was Oregon Superintendent of the Year in 2010.

Radich will take over on June 1, succeeding Jeff Rose who is leaving to lead a school district in Georgia.

"Beaverton School District is fortunate to have someone with Paula’s experience and skill set working on our behalf." says Anne Bryan, Chair, Beaverton School Board.

According to a release from the district, Radich most recently was interim superintendent of the Salem-Keizer district where she "helped the district navigate boundary adjustments."

That kind of experience should prove useful in Beaverton, which is undergoing a boundary revision process as they move toward adding a sixth high school.
