Beaverton Student Advances in National Science Competition
Rohan Wagh advances to finals of Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge.

A Beaverton student has been picked as one of ten finalists in the nation; Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge.
Agh, who just graduated from the eighth grade at Stoller Middle School, will now participate in the finals this coming October.
The challenge is an annual competition "that recognizes scientific thinking and imagination in students grades 5-8 who dream up a solution to an everyday problem that ultimately could reshape the way we live our lives."

Just by getting to the finals, Wagh receives $1,000 and a trip to 3M headquarters in October.
The winner will receive $25,000, a trip to watch the taping of a Discovery Network show,
and the title of “America’s Top Young Scientist.”

Another Beaverton student also received recognition.
Arjun Jain, who graduated form the eighth grade at Meadow Park Lane Middle School, was name one of 27 state merit winners
