Beaverton Students To Celebrate 'Big Apple Crunch'
Students will share healthy snacks and learn about eating and purchasing local food to help stimulate Oregon's economy later this month.

From Beaverton School District: In celebration of National Farm to School Month, the Beaverton School District Nutrition Services Department will hold a “Big Apple Crunch” event at three elementary schools to celebrate Oregon’s agriculture, to share a healthy snack together, and to teach students about eating and purchasing local food to help stimulate Oregon’s economy.
Each student and all staff at the schools noted below, will listen for the crunch time announcement and make some noise! They will all bite down on a juicy, locally sourced apple at the same time for a memorable experience.
