Beaverton Tax Assistance Program Brings Millions to City Residents
The program helped thousands of residents.

Thousands of Beaverton residents received a combined $2,791,888 in federal tax refunds this year thanks to the Beaverton Tax Assistance Program run by the city.
More than 60 volunteers completed 2,291 tax returns this year.
The average gross income for people who participated was $29,401 and the average refund was $1,759.

“I see what good the tax assistance program does,” said Karen Levelle, 14-year volunteer through AARP Tax-Aide. “We have people come back for years to have us help with their taxes.”
