Here are the top five stories in Beaverton today:

- Looking for more from Beaverton's mayor? Listen to Mayor Lacey Beaty's story on the Meet Me In Beaverton podcast, episode 5. The hour-long dialogue details her journey from San Diego to Afghanistan to Beaverton.
- And here's another podcast to check out: OregonLive's Beat Check podcast explores how Beaverton became a food and drink destination. The episode features Beat Check's largest panel ever to muse on why Beaverton is so stinking awesome. One of the panelists attributed the upswing to grant programs offered by the City of Beaverton about five years ago and City reps cold-calling Portland restaurants with opportunities to expand.
