Black History Month Subject of Beaverton Library Retrospective
Presentation will include song, dance, and the spoken word.

The Beaverton City Library will mark Black History Month will a special presentation next month, they announced Friday. "Who I Am - Celebrating Me: A Black History Retrospective" will take place Saturday February 11 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m..
The production will be hosted by local playwright Shalanda Sims who will be joined by youth and adult artists. They will tells the stories of hardships and triumphs of "unsung African-American heroes with a masterful production that employs song, dance, imagery and spoken word."
After the production, there will be a conversation between the audience and Sims and the actors .
